Privacy Policy
This privacy policy governs your use of the mobile software application Al Hadith ("Application") built by the developer team for mobile devices.
Table of Contents
1. Overview & Offline-First Core
The Al Hadith mobile application is built as an offline-first reference tool to download, browse, and search verified Hadith collections. The core functionalities of the Application—such as reading, exploring chapters, offline search, and navigation—operate entirely locally on your mobile device.
Zero Data Collection by Default: We believe in absolute user privacy. If you use the Application solely in its default offline state without logging in, absolutely no personally identifiable information (PII) is uploaded, tracked, or collected by us.
2. Information Collection & Cloud Sync
To enhance your user experience, the Application offers an optional Cloud Synchronization feature. This service allows you to sync your custom bookmarks, highlights, notes, and reading progress across multiple devices.
If you choose to enable Cloud Synchronization, the following information is securely processed:
- Authentication Data: When you register or sign in, we process your account credentials (such as your name, email address, and profile picture). This is conducted via Google Sign-In or secure Firebase authentication methods.
- User Saved Sync Data: We store your bookmarks, reading logs, and preferences to reflect them on your other synchronized devices.
- Strict Usage Boundary: This authentication and sync data is stored securely in Firebase cloud servers. We do not sell, rent, license, or share this data with any third-party marketing networks under any circumstances.
3. Third-Party Disclosures & Integrations
To facilitate core features (such as user authentication, data synchronization, push notifications, and app updates), the Application integrates certain standard SDKs provided by third-party suppliers. These platforms comply with rigorous data protection frameworks:
These third-party platforms have their own independent privacy policies governing how they handle data. You may review their terms here:
4. Device Permissions
For the Application to successfully perform its duties, your operating system will request permission to access certain native features. We only request permissions that are absolutely critical:
- Network & Internet Access (INTERNET): Required to fetch and download compressed Hadith databases (.sqlite.zip files), synchronize your bookmarked data, authenticate your cloud account, and receive FCM notification payloads.
- Device Local Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required solely to extract, write, and read the high-performance local SQLite database files on your local drive to enable full offline support.
- Push Notification Permissions: Required if you opt in to receive daily Hadith verses, reminders, and system alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in your OS Settings.
- Wake Lock Permission (WAKELOCK): Prevents your screen from sleeping while you are actively reading long Islamic texts.
5. Account & Sync Data Deletion Rights
In accordance with global data protection laws (such as GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play developer requirements), we provide complete control over your personal data.
How to Permanently Delete Your Data
You can purge all your account information, authentication records, and cloud-synced data at any time:
- In-App Direct Purge: Go to the Application settings dashboard, tap on "Account Settings" or "Profile", and select the "Delete My Sync Account" option. This will instantaneously and permanently erase all bookmarks, authentication links, and database backups from our Firebase Cloud.
- Email Support Request: Alternatively, you can email our support desk at md.ismailhosenismailjames@gmail.com with your registered email, and our systems team will execute a complete data sweep within 48 business hours.
6. Children's Privacy
Our services do not target children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.
7. Security Standards
We value your trust in providing us your synchronization metadata. We use secure cloud connections (HTTPS/SSL), enterprise authentication schemes, and encrypted data transfer channels to prevent unauthorized access or alteration. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute safety.
